Homemade?

I can still taste it: the homemade lasagna, the rich tomato sauce, and the wine my family made in the basement. In my Italian-American home, homemade was simply how we lived. Our kitchen was a constant workshop, churning out everything from fresh pasta and pizza dough to our own sausage and cured meats.

But this "homemade" wasn't a strict definition. The tomatoes for our sauce didn't all come from our garden. We didn't have the climate for our favorite Zinfandel grapes, nor did the ricotta for the lasagna come from our own cows. The flour for the pasta wasn't grown in our fields. It didn't need to be.

The real meaning of homemade was never about absolute self-sufficiency. It was about the care and passion we poured into everything we made. It was a flavor and a presentation that was uniquely ours. It was a difference you could feel—made with care and shared with endearment.

That is the Homemade Difference and the enduring qualities of Homemade Rhode Island Watch.
